Injury prevention advice

The Safety and Wellbeing Team provides specialist advice in the prevention of injury across the University.

We can provide individual or team based approaches and can draw on a range of clinical and professional expertise to respond to your situation. We seek to prevent injury so that everyone can continue to excel in their chosen fields, to remain productive, creative and efficient. This will also ensure that everyone is able to continue to enjoy their life outside of work, their family, hobbies and other passions.

We routinely provide advice on the following topics but are willing and able to assist where you've identified a specific need:

  • workstation ergonomics
  • laboratory ergonomics
  • home based work and mobile technology
  • hazardous manual tasks
  • office fit-out and design
  • travel health
  • psychosocial health
  • promoting health and wellbeing at work

A range of information sheets with further details on the above topics have been developed. They can be accessed via the Injury Prevention Information Sheets section on the right.

For preventing injuries systematically, please follow relevant chapters in the WHS Management Handbook or contact us at whs@anu.edu.au
