Congratulations on your new role at The Australian National University. This website will provide you with key information to help you settle into your new role, working as part of ANU community.
Follow the links below for details on the range of programs, events, resources and information available to you.
Vice-Chancellors welcome
Message from Professor Ian Young, ANU Vice-Chancellor and President
Before you arrive
Your local area administrator will have sent you your offer of employment, together with a number of other documents and forms related to your work at ANU.
You need to complete these forms and provide information listed on the commencement check-list included with your offer.
By providing all the information required in advance of your start date, your area administrator may be able to shorten the time it will take to provide you with access to various University systems.
Getting started at ANU
The orientation process ideally begins before you actually commence in your new role, and will continue over several weeks and months once you take up your position. It will have local and ANU-wide components, will need to involve your supervisor and your colleagues, and should include the following elements:
- local area induction
- induction at College / Division level
- online orientation modules
- University-wide 'Welcome & Orientation' sessions
As soon as you have commenced work and gained access to ANU systems, you can take a number of practical steps to settle into your new role and explore the University Campus.
