ANU staff health insurance plan

ANU staff can choose from a variety of private health insurance plans at corporate rates, provided by HBA, and supported locally in the ACT by MBF (both HBA and MBF are part of Bupa Australia). HBA offers ANU staff the following incentives:

  • corporate premiums that are lower than the public retail rate
  • new HBA members receive one month of cover absolutely free
  • no 2 month waiting period on extras (other waiting periods apply).

PLUS, ANU offers an additional incentive for continuing and fixed term staff only - a 10% subsidy towards your premium when you pay via the convenience of payroll deductions(10% subsidy is paid as a taxable allowance, and applies after an initial payment via direct debit).
